This is what SkollEase keeps about the streamers who use it and the viewers in their chats, why, and how to have it removed.

The short version

  • We keep what the features need to work, and nothing to sell. There are no ads and no tracking scripts.
  • Signing in with Twitch gives us your name and picture, never your password.
  • We don't keep what anyone says in chat.
  • Anyone, streamer or viewer, can ask us to delete what we have about them at support@skollease.com.

If you're a streamer

  • Your Twitch account basics: your username, display name, picture and Twitch ID, which Twitch hands over when you sign in. Twitch never gives us your password or email.
  • What you set up: your settings, commands, announcements, quotes, schedule, wheel presets, prize columns, winners, Creator Page text and the links you add to it.
  • Channel points, if you connect them: the permission Twitch gives the bot to manage your rewards and redemptions, so it can act on them while you stream.
  • Billing, if you pay: Stripe handles the payment itself. We keep the IDs Stripe gives us for your customer record and subscription, not your card details.
  • How you got here: the invite link you signed up with, and which page an upgrade started from. We use this to pay referral rewards and to learn which parts of the site are useful.
  • Reviews you write, which may be shown on the site with your channel name.
  • Posts you write to your viewers, shown in the SkollEase feed of viewers who follow you or have points in your channel, until you delete them.

If you're a viewer in a channel that uses SkollEase

When a streamer adds the bot to their chat, it keeps a small amount about the people taking part, so their points and giveaways work:

  • your Twitch username and Twitch ID;
  • your points and tickets in each channel;
  • giveaways you entered, and any you won, with the prize the streamer recorded;
  • when you last chatted in a channel, for giveaways that enter active chatters;
  • channel point redemptions you made that the bot handles;
  • a quote attributed to you, if the streamer saves one.

The bot reads chat to answer commands and to see who is active, but it doesn't keep a record of what anyone said. The streamer, and anyone they add to their team, can see this information for their own channel. Public Creator Pages show what has been given away, not who won it.

How it's used

  • To run the features: points, giveaways, the chat bot and Creator Pages.
  • To bill paid plans and pay referral rewards.
  • To answer support requests and fix problems, which can mean the people who run SkollEase looking at an account.

We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Services that handle it for us

  • Twitch, for signing in, chat and channel information.
  • Stripe, for payments. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
  • Supabase, which hosts the database.
  • Railway, which hosts the site and the bot.

Creator Pages can show a Twitch stream or clip, and a YouTube video through YouTube's privacy-enhanced player. Those players come from Twitch and YouTube, and their own privacy policies cover them.

Keeping it safe

  • Everything between your browser and SkollEase is encrypted (HTTPS), and so are its connections to the database, Twitch and Stripe.
  • The database can only be reached from our own servers, with a key that never goes to anyone's browser, and its tables are locked against public access.
  • There are no passwords here to steal, because Twitch handles signing in, and your sign-in cookie is encrypted.
  • Card details never reach us. Stripe handles them.
  • Apart from each streamer and their team seeing their own channel, only the people who run SkollEase can see account data, and only to fix problems and answer support requests.
  • No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects your information, we'll tell the people affected.

Cookies and your browser

  • A sign-in cookie, which keeps you signed in.
  • An invite cookie, for 30 days after you follow a streamer's invite link, so the right person gets the credit.
  • Preferences kept in your browser, like whether the sidebar is collapsed, which stay on your device.

There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

How long it's kept, and your choices

  • A streamer's account is kept until they ask for it to be deleted. Stopping paying doesn't delete anything - see the Terms.
  • Streamers can download their winners, quotes and points from Settings at any time.
  • Disconnect SkollEase in your Twitch connection settings to stop it using your Twitch account.
  • Email support@skollease.comto get a copy of what we have about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted - whether you're a streamer, or a viewer who wants to be removed from every channel. Tell us your Twitch username.

Age

SkollEaseis for people old enough to use Twitch. We don't knowingly keep information about anyone younger, and will delete it if we find out we have.
